Mining the Unconscious: Santa Fe, Summer, 2011

There is a very exciting triad of art shows happening in Santa Fe this summer and you will not want to miss them if you are in the area. Based on The Redbook, written by renowned psychotherapist CG Jung, these incredible exhibits take a look into the unconscious realms from which artist draw their work. There are three separate exhibits, the first opening June 17 at the Santa Fe Arts Commission Community  Gallery, the second on July 8 at Santa Fe University of Art and Design, and the third on August 6 at the Encaustic Art Institute in Cerrillos. Throughout the summer there is a wide range of workshops and educational opportunities connected with these exhibitions.  It is a rare opportunity to have a summer filled with this array of coordinated arts-related presentations.  A full description of the process, all location information and listings of the activities can be found on the website: miningtheunconscious.org.  My work will be found in the second exhibit, Mining the Unconscious II at the Santa Fe University of Art and Design.  Don't miss it!
