New Acrylic Painting: High Road Artist

Last summer my yard was frequented, as usual, by many magpies.  There was one who came at the tail end of the cherry season and was picking cherries one at a time and setting them on top of a stump in my yard. Finally when he had a nice selection he began to feast!  I liked him so much I had to make a small painting of him.  It is now hanging in the High Road Marketplace in Truchas, NM.
He's called "The Cherry Picker".  The deep museum type canvas allows painting around the edges...gotta' see that marvelous tail!
